Yesterday, we held our second guided walk, and once again, the turnout was incredible. It fills us with so much hope to see just how many people care about this land and want to be part of shaping its future.
There’s something special about walking the land together—seeing it through fresh eyes, hearing different perspectives, and sharing ideas around what this place could become. Conversations sparked naturally as we wandered, with people reflecting on the history of the fields, the changes they’ve noticed, and the possibilities ahead. It’s clear that a real sense of ownership and stewardship is growing.

By the time we reached the farm buildings, the fire was crackling, and the mulled apple juice was warming hands and spirits alike. We stood around, talking into the afternoon—about the land, about life, about what’s next. These moments remind us why we’re doing this: to bring people together, to reconnect with nature, and to take back control of the spaces that matter.
Thank you to everyone who joined us—it means the world. If you couldn’t make it this time, don’t worry. We’ll be doing more of these walks, and we’d love to see you on the next one on Saturday 19 April: details on our events page: https://www.knaresboroughforestpark.org/event-list.
